Where do you buy your models?

Sounds like a dumb question, but I have been searching for places to buy bust or figures unpainted. Every where I check they're all finished ready to display. I want to paint them. My local hobby shop sells the standard car, boat, airplane models. but not any superheros, anime or monster models.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Are you referring to larger scale resin kits? (1/7 - 1/1)
If so Sign up over on the Club House forum.(have to be a member to view forum)

Most of the makers of garage kits post their work there and in the For Sale sections.
Many of the sculptors on there are also the onese working for toy and collectible companies.

Just about everything is covered from movie monsters, anime, dinosaurs, kaiju, comic heroes, custom sculpts and more.

Another forum more based on the pre paint figures but also garage kits is Statue Forum.

Be aware that other forums and many sites condone and encourage re-casters.
Club House has a list of respectable vendors and also helps members avoid re-casters.

I used to get mine at a local shop that carries a little of everything. Sadly their idea of anime was the 200.00 gundam kits. I found a nice hobby shop a year ago right as it was going out of business sadly. Nearest one is 2 hours round trip. I'd end up doing ebay or amazon or a hobbyshop online.

I'll second The Clubhouse. Best place to get ORIGINAL kits and kits that rarely get put up for sale on eBay and other places.

A lot of the kit's can be bought right from the maker.
Be real careful buying from Ebay and any shop in Thailand since most are probably recast especially if it's cheap.

Many of the kits will come with a custom box and full paperwork.
sassysatellite sells originals on ebay.

Avoid Mojo Resin, Hobby Fan and Frontier Hobbies.
Many of the kits on Monster in Motion are not original and usually aren't in stock anyways.

Here's a link the the Club House Dealers index

I cast kits for a real good sculptor named Jason "Spyda" Adams....he has a great line of figure kits on his website.. spydacreations.com
Check him out...you might like his stuff.
