Whats in a name

Yautja is just a word for people who think they're being technical. In my opinion, a predator is a predator, no other word for it.

Yautja is just a word that humans created to distinguish them from other 'predators.' Personally I don't see why people make a big deal about it, I think its pretty awesome for someone that can tell a good story, come up with more information that we could use for the Pred's. Of course the die hard's will only want to stick to the name Predator because they probably don't like the comics/novels, only the movies, and I respect that because I am a diehard fan of everything predator.

Sure, the name 'Yautja' might not sound pretty, but no one else including anyone who has done a film, tried giving it a name besides 'the hunter', they kept it a mystery for screen time I'm sure, so Steve Perry's insight into this Species is a big plus in my opinion. Its already been proven that the pred's can speak almost as good as us, for example in the final battle scene of Predator, before he sets off his self destruct, he replies to Arnie with 'what the hell are you?', with NO aid of a bio mask. So who's to say they don't have a similar way of using speech to communicate on their homeworld/ships other than '*grunt* *point* *snort*' As somebody mentioned above, its probably what they limit themselves to on a hunt, much like the military on a mission.
I am sure they dont actually use our A B C D method to record anything, but use their binary digits and symbols. Perry's use of the A B C D words like c'jit! and Ki'cti-pa is just how the reader, as a human, would write down what they heard the best they could using our letters and language style.

I just get kind of frustrated when people spit on a very good artistic point of view which is giving us some believable insight into the pred's and their life style.
