I remember when I was younger, I came across this really FREAKY horror movie in which some creepy looking tiki/islander doll comes to life and just kills people. Was probably made in the 80's? IDK, had an urge lately to try and watch it again lol

Majestic Studios made a replica of the Zuni Fetish Warrior doll back in '04. Unfortunately not very accurate, but for $50, I guess it wasn't too bad.

That played in the 70's and it freaked the nation out.....no kidding...

I remember when it aired...I couldn't sleep soundly for weeks. I was afraid to look under my bed and have my feet near a door for fear it was on the other side and slide a knife underneath.

...and there was this at the end, also very creepy.

Meh, that kind of thing dosnt' really bother me, its just the fact that an inanimate wood doll springs to life, running faster than speedy Gonzales, weilding a knife, with only the purpose of killing. Oh and the fact it never wears out or gets tired?

It didn't help when I was younger and I'd spend the night at my grandfather's place. He liked to scare us, so he had this really creepy looking, hand made bird/tiki magnet head thing as a magnet on his fridge. He used to tell us that at night that it'll start screaming and disappears when he checks on it :wacko

You know, Ronculas could do a totally accurate one of those and people would snap them up. The Zuni fetish is a huge favorite with the H.M.A. crowd.

Much rather see that than "Diaper Time" Gizmo, or a ninth incarnation of a Mogwi.

Ron's got game.

Ron is THE Master!

I saw the screen-Used one at Universal back in the 70"s

Man that thing was rough! :lol

I came into this thread thinking it was about the Brady Bunch two parter.:lol

Actually, I had forgotten about this movie and yeah, it kinda creeped me out at the time. Thanks for the reminder.:thumbsup

I guess that just shows how everyone is wired differently. For me, growing up, evil in human form was always much scarier, because people exist in the real world. I guess that's why movies like Night of the Living Dead and The Exorcist scared me the most because it was regular people becoming evil creatures.

Thats true, but on one hand, you can kill/destroy that physical form, ending their ability to kill/harm you. You can see in this example, they all fail miserably at trying to burn it...but it allows the spirit to take over their bodies.

How would you kill "He who Kills"? IDK, I find it scarier if a doll can randomly come "to life" in that manner, let alone be capable of killing you. :unsure

Zombie movies just make me hungry, but the idea of REAL zombies does scare me. Not just the actual fact that zombies do exist, but along with the fact that if that kind of thing ever did happen (like dawn of the dead) civilization as we know it would almost cease to exist. Those kinds of things terrify me.

My wife was like that. She could watch the Chuckys and Freddies, the overdone stuff.

But movies with human psychos scared the heck out of her. (like being married to me wasn't enough.)
