What models haven't been replicated yet?

I was thinking of how badly I wish I had a USS Cygnus from the Black Hole, and how it is one of my all time favorite models in movie history. Truly, I would probably pay thousands and thousands of dollars (if I had it) for a beautiful repplica of the Cygnus. It is just a beautiful starship - even if the Black Hole isn't the best movie ever.

It just started me thinking, are there any models that just haven't been made yet? Either because they are just too complicated, or because we (as a community) haven't gotten around to them yet?

I was thinking of the Cygnus, and for the most part, I haven't seen many really great Discovery 1 from 2001.....

What other models have we yet to see? Any dream projects that need to be tackled......

What models haven't we seen replicated yet that are just SCREAMING for a project. (wish I had the skill! :lol)

I mentioned this one a little while ago, not screaming to be done or anything, but pretty cool looking.

From "Real Genius".

I want Polar Lights2 or Moebius to do a BIG scale Disney Nautilus!

...OH- and I want REL to do a studio scale Klingon Bird o' Prey! :p

I've seen cg models of the Cygnus. Knowing what goes into such a project I would count it as a done model. And as cool as that ship is, I wouldn't want to do that framework.

How about a studio scale Discovery. I think only a few guys in the world have a shelf that long. :lol

As far as what ships to replicate, I've got a long list. Nell would be good one.

I'd love to see someone tackle a really good sized accurate version of the
phoenix from Battle of the Planets. Anyone remember that one?

I have always loved that ship! :love

the ones out there now that are decent looking are usually really tiny.

Nell. God I love that ship, and I'll make it someday. :thumbsup

That was the first ship I thought of when I read the title of this thread. a VERY unusual design and probably the only truly "standout" item from that movie. Whoever built that ship originally must've been a sadist - one compound curve after another... the result is very artistic but it must've been a true PITA to create and even come close to symetric...

Since I worked on the show, I've wanted to build a large scale SeaLaunch from SeaQuest DSV.

Then there is always the Palomino from The Black Hole- I'd like to do it in studio scale, but even half that would make a nice model.

What is Nell???? You talking about Jodie Foster?? :lol:lol Really, I searched google and couldnt find Nell the spaceship....

I think someone at SSM is working on a kit, but I really want a Vree saucer from Babylon 5. You know that one saucer that fires blasts from the bottom? Actually any new, slightly affordable, B5 kits would be welcome.

It's the ship in "Battle Beyond the Stars" Starring John Boy.

Designed and built in good part by Jim Cameron. Yeah, that Jim Cameron. I was told he recovered it after Corman finally shut down the lumber yard/studio and still has it in storage.
