What is the best way to store and protect a script?

I just recently purchased an older script from the late 70's and I want to make sure I'm keeping it protected, I bought a fireproof box but I have no idea if it will be fine in there or should I wrap it in something first. Everything I have seen online was about preserving books. Are the rules the same or do scripts need to something more?

I would think the same way you store a comic book would apply. Acid free backing board and bag inside your fireproof box would be how I would do it.

You would be best to store in Archival boxes much like Museums and Studio Archives use. They usually put items in these acid free boxes, with acid free tissue inside for secure stuffing.

You then could put that into your fire safe.
