What is the best BLADE RUNNER BLASTER out there?

Coyle, Sidkit worldcon and the Tomenosuke are the one's to hunt down if you're after something that's visually more accurate.

Rick Ross' magnificent Pflager Katsumata series wins hands down if you're after something that is aesthetically superior:

I have several Blasters in my collection. My latest is an all metal, latest version Coyle with a real Bulldog .44 special inside it. It shoots, like the original prop. I would not put a real .44 in anything less. An all metal replica gun has the weight and feel that plastic cannot replicate. For display in a case, plastic might be fine but for holding and showing, nothing beats all metal. Do a search on my RPF name and find my tutorial on how my shooting Bladerunner Blaster was built.

Plus, Coyle is US, you can talk to him, he can help you.

in case you are still exploring options, it looks like the tomenosuke kit is sold out. but they are confirmed to be releasing another version of their completed kit as a "retailer" edition. no word on pricing or availability yet, so your options are clear if you don't want to wait.

For me it would be interesting to know how big the new deluxe version from OffWorld is.It is new from 2012 and with 1 kg very heavy.

Here is the link from a retailer from france:

BLADE RUNNER Blaster Gun M2019 Deluxe Prop Replica

As I mentioned previously, twice now three times, I had the most recent Off World, it's based on a .38 Special so is about 15% undersized at least, most note able in the grips. I also should note I paid $225 US for mine off if eBay.

I know...but the blaster on this side is not the "OffWorld C-Version" that stands explicit in the description of the blaster. But you are saying, that your Off World was the C-Version.So I think thats the reason, why this version is more expensive...it has more metal parts?

I marked it red in the description:

As far as I know, all of the Offworld blasters still use the same dimensions as they always have, it's just they changed the material from resin/plastic to metal for certain pieces. So no matter what version you buy, it's still undersized.

Yeah, that's the way I read it as well. The differences are listed in that second paragraph. For the $ it is a fine display replica, but you did ask what is the best. When I first held Richards gun I was shocked how big it was compared to the Off World, and heavier, a lot.

Ah ok...thank you.Hope your right...I think apart from the wrong dimensions, the OFFWorld blaster looks very nice.I could paint it to look like the hero.

I want a blaster with the right dimensions.I like the movie..but I don´t wanna pay 1000$ and more for a Blade Runner blaster.;-)
Bryancd: Richards blaster looks outstanding...but very expensive, too. But your right I asked about the BEST!Haha..and what is the best for a lower price?;-)

Yeah, and from 5 feet away OffWorld makes a nice product, especially for the price. I would be patient and watch eBay, I bet you can find one for under $300 US from a motivated seller. There is one up right now with a BIN of $329.99.

I wouldn't jump on the Offworld without playing the field a bit. If you're patient, you could probably find a Sidkit for under $600, with an unfinished kit maybe for less.

Of course the Sidkit IS a bit more accurate BUT for the fact it is a recast off one of my early plastic models, even his worldcon model still is a recast off my model.

He did not buy one of my later worldcon models, he simply made some of the worldcon changes to "Update" his older recasting.

And PLEASE lets not fight over this again it has been proven and accepted by all Blade Runner sites as FACT.

I will only say this once and let your own conscience be your guild.

One word of caution, he used a softer pewter than mine.

I will say the Offworld make a better cosplay prop unless your trying to win and accuracy is a factor in the contest.

If you have the budget, I'd go for one of the Tomenosuke models, as they are the current pinnacle of excellence for this prop.

Also, this bears repeating:

They're getting harder & harder to come by since Siderio passed away (RIP), but they're well worth the money. I LOVE mine.

Was just going to go down that road about the Sidkit.

Rich's version is THE best imo.

I remember fondly how the latest version developed over this board with Karl phoning Rich what he found at the Con! :thumbsup
