What is a good costume for someone 6'-6" tall, 225#

Seriously...WOOKIE! I went to the bars with me in my Boba Fett armor and my buddy was in his Wookie costume. I had my picture taken with 50+ dudes (drunk geeks) and had four pieces of armor broken. He had his picture taken with 300+ hot women in skimpy outfits! His fur was still great. (smelled like beer and perfume!)

After that, the new rule was..."Chicks dig the Wookie!"

It is a spendy way to go, but done well there is no equal.

If you like armor, the Full Metal Alchemist route is good because he is really huge and the armor is a basic, classic design.

How about the mighty morphen power rangers megazord now that would be a sick costume or a transformer

I am 6'4" myself, so I get your problem. What about Harry from 'Harry and the Hendersons'? He's lovable. And Astro City's Samaritan would be cool.

Sauron or an uruk-hai from Lord of the Rings, 'cos that would be AWESOME.
Or Jorge from Halo Reach; I don't think I've seen a build of that yet...

Come on guys. Give him something you won't see 12 of at a con!

Seriously, you are PERFECT for a Transformer. And with that said, here's my suggestion:

MEGATRON or SHOCKWAVE

Two of the biggest baddest out there!

I'd kill to be 6 foot tall doing what I do, it's not easy to build transformers when you are 5'5" and make them look right.

Also here's one not mentioned that would look imposing at that height if you aren't wanting to get into full armor or something big and complicated, PUNISHER.
Others I'd like in my personal opinion-
Ghost Rider
Hellboy
Doc Ock
Thor

Just don't go for something that's been done so much.

How about a DarkTrooper? They are kind of Larger than life.

I'm 6'3", so I'm planning on that one eventually, once I have off the 'ol belly. This year I was Barf from Spaceballs.

Another vote for Chewbacca. With your height, you could also do a regal looking costume, like Serpentor.

But if you want to be more original, go as a Transformer or one of the Godaikin gestalts.....Voltes V, Combattra, etc.

How about Bigfoot and find somebody to go as the Six Million Dollar Man lol
I remember those episodes from the 70's. I actually got a Bigfoot for Christmas that year.

So, here's some thoughts:

1)
If you go the Power Ranger Route (which wouldn't be a bad idea), keep in mind which ones would fit your height. With one rather obvious morphed/non-morphed change, most of the actors and actresses were roughly the same height as the person who would typically be in the suit with the helmet on. Hence, with the exception with Justin, there wasn't a whole lot of visible change. There were some that were more obvious than others, but, you'd be pretty much limited to the taller Rangers (which were typically male, I've noticed). If you want to do a Power Ranger costume, but not a Ranger, I think Goldar might be a decent choice, no idea how the height would be affected. Also, any of the Megazords would be good, and those you have a plethora to choose from as there seems to be typically two or three different formations per season. And yes, I have seen just about every single episode from 1993 to like '08 or '09. I have on my part disavowed RPM from the normal continuity. Sad, no?

2) Master Chief is a good route. All you need is a good under-suit (there is a thread on that, sort of) and a pair of good shoes, or my preference for me would be boots. My other suggestion if you stick with the Halo route is to try a Sanghelli (Elite) costume. It wouldn't be that hard to add on the minimum additional height (for you: minimum recommended is seven inches, for me, more like a foot and a half) in the feet and head/face.

Otherwise, the Predator and Alien would be a good choice. I would say the Guyver route, but the good guy characters are under six and a half feet with the Guyver on, and that includes the horn. Sorry. If you wanted to do a 'baddie' there's plenty you could do, and I would love to see someone attempt one.

For me, I'm going to want to be comfortable, so I know that with some of the extra space I have, I can put a few extra things to help me stay comfortable inside and to keep the thing on unless I want to eat or go to the bathroom. I'm not exactly buff, so it helps...:)

HI, I thought I'd chime in as well on this. I'm not quite as tall, only 6'5 and 270 lbs.
I run as a Shadow Scout trooper, but a lot of armor is great because height adds diversity to the crowd and makes it look more realistic.

I also do a comic version of Bane and it goes over really well. Most guys who do Batman or Nightwing are around the 6' mark and with a noticably larger bane facing off against them, it does really well. ALSO, very important here.....Poison Ivy and Harley's are generally smaller girls who like the photo op with a big Bane. :)

I'd second or however many times it was mentioned that any of the Ironman versions would be great. With a couple extra inches you really would be in the correct scale for the character. Plus it sounds like your height to weight ratio would fit the character also.

You can also look into Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist. There are pep files available and that is also a large character that would look nice.

If your into Star Wars, then I'd go with either Vader or Chewy, they'd suit a tall person better.
If it's Marvel and DC than I'd go with Captain America.
