What I wish Vader looked like in EP III

I saw this pic on here from the behind the scenes thread on ESB.

I liked the samurai look it had. I wish he looked like this in Ep. III when he became Vader, and then when he got burned and all that in the Obi Wan fight, the helmet, chestbox, belt boxes get added. I did this quick in PS.

I wish George had used a different armor. Earlier or more primitive. If Vader was in that same armor for 20 years he must stink.

Yup, he would have looked awesome like this, maybe without the chest box and belt boxes, but The Emperor could have given him this as Sith Warrior armor.

Topics like this make me want to cry at the collosal missed opportunities of the PT....:cry:cry:cry

Well said. There is almost no aspect of the PT that doesn't qualify as a miss, IMO. You know how many characters from the OT belong in a SW PT? One: the Emperor. That's it. It's meant to be a frickin' galaxy, for god's sake. Hundreds of millions, even billions of stars, uncountable trillions of planets...but we keep coming back to the same damned characters and the same damned places. Clone armies that number in the thousands, instead of the hundreds of millions. Jedi that number even fewer than that, what is it, one Jedi to every fifty sectors? Political representation even thinner on the ground.

How did it all go from such a feast of the imagination to such poverty?

I really wanted to see more fabric, Maul style robes, but let's be honest: if Lucas had changed the look, most people would have freaked the crap out.

An evolution towards Vaderhood would have been nice, though, and I think wouldn't have provoked much freaking out.

I agree, some kinda explanation as why the Emperor just had this armour readily avaliable would be cool. Or when Vader is "fully assembled" and talking to the Emperor, the Emperor should have said that he will have to wear this suit for the rest of his life because it keeps him alive.

Yes, Anakin should have sourced most of the outfit prior to being put in the life support system. The fact that the armor came from Palpatine just sucks.

at a MINIMUM they should have had the Emporer give him the red lightsaber.

maybe even have the "vader" saber be the Emporer's saber instead of that phallic device he had instead.

Palpatine shouldn't have had a lightsaber at all. In fact... the sith shouldn't have had any. Basing this on Palpatine's scornful comments to Luke about Jedis and lightsabers in RotJ.

And the Jedi were too over-dependent on theirs, choosing aggression over anything else as their first recourse of action. They were far more Sith like in how they dealt with things.

I always felt that way. That the sith were SO evil that they would never have a need to fight hand to hand.

Now, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Vader fight scenes, and the Darth Maul scene. But in the end, I think they mishandled this one.

this is what Vader should have looked like in EPIII

I BET if he did look like that in ROTS, you'd all complain about that too :lol

Really I don't get the problem people have with the ROTS Vader, just look at it, it's DARTH VADER! It's not pink or anything, not missing any boxes, it all looks the same in a different version. In fact the ANH Vader is further apart from the TESB and ROTJ Vaders than the ROTS version is.

I actually liked the fact he was still using his blue lightsaber. That scene in the Jedi Temple where he walks into the room of kids, wouldn't have been as creepy if he came in all evil with a red lightsaber. It says traitor more than if he was using a red blade.

I agree, when episode 2 trailers started coming out they were making it look as though he would turn to the darkside at the end of episode II leaving Episode III for his Hunting down the jedi. That would have worked alot better than what we were given.

I don't have a problem with how he was at the end of the movie, I just though this would look cool as Vader before the helmet.
