I bought some armor a while back and upgraded and repainted it.

The OD armor parts? I got a wild hair to pull a "Threepio's silver leg" by implying a couple of parts had been recently replaced.

Some of the weathering isn't showing up in pics, which means I should add more...

Looks bad ass :thumbsup

Except for that cheap looking shotgun holder that looks like its never seen a days combat in its life.

:thumbsup :thumbsup Looks great.

Geez, just started doin the research into suppliers - if I may ask - is it Sparmor - GA??

Yeah, the holster is an afterthought. It's just vinyl...didn't want to spend too much on that detail. Weathering will come. :)

I don't know the original manufacturer of the armor, I'm afraid.

Very nice work. Be sure to post up some more pictures when/if you add more weathering.

Have you considered simulating some xenomorph acid burns on the armor?

My VP70:

solid resin, required a lot of cleanup and filling:

Added these to the bottom of the grip to simulate the magazine butt and retention clip:

(opted not to go screen accurate there. I just don't like that green quilted holster in the movie.)

To MegaCon I go.

WOAH...

That is awesome. I do agree that it needs to be weathered though.
Still, I'd love to have it the way it is too. :)

Very nice.

Cheers,

Kraig
