What films make you feel good/do you enjoy?

Mine really depends on the time of year, any Star Wars during Christmas and of course Point Break in the summer but my most embarrassing guilty pleasure is xXx with Vin Diesel... I know

The Talented Mr. Ripley
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy
The Manchurian Candidate
The Good Shepherd
Random Hearts

:wacko

Star Wars 4, 5, and, once it comes out on DVD, 7
Jurassic Park
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (so glad this isn't a hater thread :lol )
Die Hard
The Lost Battalion (A&E TV movie set in WWI, really great war flick, I could watch it over and over)
Apollo 13
Tropic Thunder
Guardians of the Galaxy

I forgot about apollo 13. I may have to drag that one out to see if it still holds up.

I'd also like to ad addams family and bill and ted 1/2.

Nice thread. Here's a couple for you.

Anytime Singin' in the Rain is on I generally start grinning from ear to ear after about 30 seconds and don't stop until it's over but a film I can watch over and over without being bored is The Hunt for Red October. It's not even that good a film but I never tire of it. Weird

Mary Poppins
Who framed roger rabbit?
The sound of music
Animal house
Moulin Rouge
The big lebowski
spirited away

My favorite feel-good movie is one from just the last year or so... can't recommend enough...

"CHEF"

Written and directed by Jon Favreau...

It's such a good little flick about being a dad, being there for your kid...

I originally thought it would be about working in a kitchen... or the horrors of behind the scenes at a restaurant.

There's no terrible incident that brings things down... it's just a fun, feel good flick.

Inspiring as heck.

You absolutely will not regret watching this movie...

This movie is legitimately one of my all-time favorite movies now. It makes me feel great watching it every single time.

And maybe I'm odd, but I find something incredibly moving about the scene where he takes his kid out to the back of the truck after he was going to serve up a burnt sandwich and gives him that speech.

In no particular order:

Pacific Rim
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Airplane!
Top Secret
The 5th Element
Big Trouble in Little China
The Big Lebowski
Grosse Pointe Blank
Galaxy Quest (in the original Thermian, if possible)
Deadpool (seen it 6 times so far, gonna see it more)
Leningrad Cowboys Go America
Dumb and Dumber
Spaceballs

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of.

Rocketeer
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
The Red Baron
The Shadow
The Aviator
Le Mans
The Great Escape

And if we can include documentaries:

Love the Beast
TT: Closer to the Edge

The Goonies
Hellboy
Fifth Element
Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan
Stepbrothers

All sort of circulate. and are on a flash drive I take everywhere with me

Oh and Calamity Jane and Chicago if I fancy a sing :)

Dirty dancing.

When Jonny lifts baby during the final dance...you get chills.

The same kind of chills you get when you see Christopher reeves fly for the first time.

This is really weird, but for a long time I fell asleep every night with Midnight Cowboy on. I know it's not a feel good pic, but something about it is comforting to me.

That's an even bigger bummer than the end of the graduate
