What films make you feel good/do you enjoy?

List is too long, but I really loved Avalon: very good movie with a great cast and a great story!

Another feel good film (again very British) is Mike Leigh's 'Happy Go Lucky'.
Essentially a manual for going through life with a 'glass half full' attitude.

I'd have to go with....

Indiana jones...... pick one... I love them all
Smokey and the Bandit
Star Wars
Jaws
Startrek 2 wrath of Khan
Startrek 4 The journey home
Guardians of the Galaxy
Galaxy Quest
Predator

And guilty pleasures (tell no one!)

Disneys Robin Hood (gotta love a fox as Robin Hood)
WALL-E
Grease

For me it's-

Lost in Translation

It held several "firsts" for me. It introduced me to Scarlet Johansen. It introduced me to airsoft. It was then I decided that someday I would either visit or move to Japan. And last, it was one of Bill Murrays most awesome performances of his career. The soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful as well. The movie, at least for me, stirs the soul.

i'm curious why wall-e is considered a guilty pleasure? great little movie ;o)

too me, a guilty pleasure is UHF.... 'WHEEL, OF FISH!' ;o)

depends a lot on my mood, and with who i am watching a movie with. :)

i can enjoy watching films as cars, despicable me or minions (common, minions are way to much fun) and such with my 10 year old son just as much as watching some silly teen feelgood movie with my 20 year old daughter. yes, me and my daughter with big bucket of popcorn or crisps with feet on table giggling about the movie. call me wierd, but makes me feel good and even more proud of being her dad :)

when watching a movie with my wife we enjoy fantasy, sci-fi and zombie/horror movies.

my personal all time favorite? still not sure, Full metal jacket or worlds fastest indian are way on top for sure

ps, anything with Ben Stiller makes us all puke over here.

too many to list but my number 1 is American Psycho. Christian bale as a maniac but its put in a comedic way, the references from 4chan, and 'my god, it even has a watermark'.

I have to admit that American Psycho is the only movie I like Bale in and I love movies set in the the 80s and before so that helps. I do a lot of putting movies on in the background so Star Trek the motion picture is a must on the list too. The naked gun movies too or nearly every movie by the Abrams brothers, the surprisingly funny one is American Carol.
