What does Pepmaster/Vagabond owe you?.

My dealings over the last 3 years with Pepmaster / Vagabond / Nintendude have been very positive. I am thankfull for all the pepakura files he made available at no charge. I feel that most of us ( including myself ) modify / copy outright the intelectual property of others. We make available cool stuff that is not readily available or is extremely expensive. Papercraft props have allowed me to have replica props that i can customize at an inexpensive cost. As a plus i also get the satisfaction of having built the prop and customized it to my, or my clients specifications. You hare without sin cast the first stone.

Mikey, None of the individuals here have ripped anyone off Unlike Pepmaster/ Vagabond/ Nintendude. While it was nice that he provided the community the files it still does not make it right that he could rip off the lot of us.

What you are comparing is Apples and Oranges. While the community does copy the intellectual properties of others, we do not steal from them. Look at the list again, and you will see what I am talking about. John took money and items from others and didn't follow through, he then stole Mockle's hinge design and called it his own. Same with the tutorial he posted that was originally written by Skylow. All the while demanding that he be given credit for his pep files.

Actions like that make the artisans in the community not want to share things like tutorials, reference images, and in the most extreme cases the item it's self by not making it available. I am a good example of that as I sell VERY few items I make for simply that reason, I don't want to have MY design stolen by recasters and unscrupulous individuals like Pepmaster.

I was owed a neckseal in the PIF thread, he said it was sent and got lost in the mail, he offered to send cash instead when he had it, i felt bad about taking cash after seeing he'd had troubles so didn't take him up on it.
I think he's a young guy who got in over his head, hope he sorts himself out

Frosty he is around 30 not exactly a young buck.

I also would like to mention that anytime he got called out on any shady dealings he would throw a fit and remove all the pep files. So much for helping the community, as he held them over everyone's heads like a dang Sword of Damocles.

I just assumed he was younger, don't know why, his actions reminded me of the way people sometimes lash out when they are younger

It kinds bums me out that it took a banning to out everyones horror stories about him. I to have been burned a couple of times by members that got banned.

In the future, please voice your bad dealings earlier. If he was outed ages ago, it may have saved some of you a lot of greif.

Hey folks,

as usual in a thread like this I ask everyone to keep it on topic.

Discussing PepMaster is not the topic, he can´t defend himself, and everything that could be said about him has already been said.

So, if you don´t have anything to contribute to resolve the situation, then please refrain from posting, especially when you only want to discuss PepMaster´s / Vagabond´s /Nintendude´s character.

Thanks,
Michael

Manfromnaboo

I will step put of it, just wanted to let people know to speak up sooner, to save future grief.

OK this is sounding like another banned individual.........only that one was in Australia.

What reasons for his actions did "she" give you?

His having a hard time and finding it hard to leave the house

His also replayed to my email and promised a refund by friday which I think he will come through with

The way he takes credit for other people's work, I guess he was taking credit for the Russian hacker beign out of commission a while too!

Well, Pepmaster has now got in touch with me and is attempting to resolve our issue. My hat is off to him for that.
I think I have offered him an easier option, lets hope he's serious this time.

He did confirm his shipment through PayPal for my item but he didn't leave a tracking number or method of shipment. I've sent him 2 diferent emails asking for a tracking number so far with no responce. I wouldn't be bugging this guy if it weren't for me being in and out of town all this week on business. I just want to know when to expect it so I can have someone there to recive the package for me.

I've been in touch with him through facebook. It turns out that he only just shiped my package out on the 18th and there's no tracking info on it at all. He did send me a scan of the insurance recepit that he took out on it.

Well, I truly hope you get your stuff, Bill, and we aren't left to read, "the USPS lost it"...

I will never understand why sellers don't add delivery confirmation (Which, for those unknowing, provides a tracking number) or buyers don't demand it, when it is a WHOPPING extra 70 cents, while the insurance on a $100 item is $2.30...
