What do you think? Prop for new fan film.

For your consideration is a prop for a fan film entitled "Timelord" which begins filming this fall in Las Vegas.

I decided to go for a full edit and redo this first post. Pre-production is almost done. The consol room needs to be built yet, but we'll be working on that in a few short days. Filming has been pushed back due to the fact that our director got a big commercial job that he could not pass up. (Seeing as how this is a free project and all)

So. here we go. Darren Adams as The Doctor. (Though his outfit has changes slightly from this pic.)

[
Part of the TARDIS console panel. (Keep in mind, that this is a movie prop not being built with an extreem closeup in mind, and the director said NO to our first one. He wanted something very different than what's been seen so far. Just wait until you see the rest of the console room. I'm DYING to spill those beans, but can't)

That's it for now. We'll update with some pics once we get into filming!

Feedback, please!

Thanks Chris. Yep it lights up. Alternates between red and blue flashy. Just doesn't show up to well with the flash on my camera. The wires on the end are to make it appear as to have been ripped away from it's housing. I've been consigned to make a few props, and given a great deal of latitude in what they will look like. Except for the Master's Sonic screwdriver. (On the same site) I was told to make it out of copper, and to "resemble" Tom Bakers'

Admittedly I am not a big Doctor Who fan, I enjoyed some of the episodes of the newer show, and I am going to give the "new" old season a shot on sci-fi too.

That is a cool prop. Thanks for sharing it with us. :thumbsup

And please post some set pics and behind the scenes stuff on the fan film..

And ofcoarse, once it's done, LINK...

I just had a really bad idea. It could be a US version of Dr Who and he travels in one of those blue portacans (plastic loo). I have been watching the Doc for over 30yrs now and I liked the earlier cheezey ones better and don't know why.

Well, it is set in the US. It's his LAST reneration, (Takes place 500 years after the current series) and The Master is back. Think of it as a sequel to the 96 McGans movie, with all the new stuff in between, and yes, There is a reason why it all happens in America. :love

Just a small spoiler.....Think of the Tardis being ripped out of the time vortex by an unseen enemy which forces a regeneration....and the possible conequences of all of that happening.

But no, no port-a-potty TARDIS'.

A version of the "portapotty" TARDIS was "seen" in the Big Finish CD, The One Doctor, starring Colin Baker

I think that's quite funny, the doctor disguises his transport at a music festival (porta loo), and festival goers all really p*ssed because there's no paper to wipe there *.^** with

Really funny

diggin the updated power coil, and digging the power crystals too :lol

looking pretty cool man.

Thanks Chris.
I made them from 1" rod. Used a grinder to shape, then fire polished and painted with transparent paint. Not quite as sophisticated as your work.....but I was inspired by it.

Since I get to assemble and make the props for this think I get to use items from some of my favorite works. You'll see a little Superman as well as TOS Trek influence in the props. I even used a little "extra crispy" and some T-jet hubs on the slitheen power coil.

Send the Portaloo TARDIS to Woodstock.
'Visitors' to it would just think they were tripping out when they go inside...

Thought those multi-coloured power rods looked like Superman crystals.

That console piece reminds me a lot of the Masters console from when Anthony Ainley played him. Would I be right? Is it the Masters' TARDIS console?

I've been getting a TON of PM's about the Wesco torch mod. I may just have to do a thread on it. But it will be a while before I do. We're in the final stages of pre-production and I will spend a lot of time on that project for right now.

Great looking suff, got any more pic?. How is the project going?

Oh, and I'm very new to the show, so what's the story with the money?
