What Do U Use To Cast Your Sculpts (Masks)

Hi all as title says really i used plaster of paris and it failed it was to brital didnt pick up fine details. So would like to know what u lot use.

I use casting resin+ fibre glass.Beauty coat x2 then fibre glass for strength.

i dont think you are using the correct terminology.
if you only have a sculpture, then you are trying to make a mold. out of the mold you make casts.

if you are trying to make a mold to make latex casts out of, then you want to make you mold out of Ultracal or Hydrocal. which are like plaster of paris, but much stronger.

Basic alpha plaster from Alex tirantis is great stuff. And perfect for making a mould for latex masks.

thanks ppl yeah i meant mold sorry is this stuff available in the UK? there is so many plasters out there i just dont know which 1 to use.
