I have never saw the need to overanalyze the Pred in any way. The mystique is in the mystery. The coolness is that it is alien and unknown to us. *shrugs*

Over-analyzing will be the Predators downfall in my opinion. The one true thing that I love about the movie "Predator," is, is that he has all this crazy alien **** - and he does all this crazy alien **** and there's no explaination what-so-ever as to why or how. If you want something mapped out for you, hook-up with some Star Wars or Star Trek groups. There are books out explaining everything in either universe.

This is why I don't think they should ever show their homeworld. There should be no elaborating other than an opening sequence with a space ship headed towards Earth. That's the only explaination we need. They're aliens that come here to do bad things.

Who cares why their armor wasn't acid resistent in AVP. It was a stupid movie that wasn't thought out at all, and it was made by an Alien fan-boy who took every oppurtunity to explain why he loved the movie "ALIEN" so much. **** him. As for the comics... yeah I might've liked the movie a lot more if it had actually borrowed a lot more. Firstly, the future. That way it won't **** with what's already been established by the previous movies.

Simplifying everything makes it boring.

But on the same topic, facehuggers can eat through the Pred helmet. You've seen Alien, right? The 'hugger broke and burned right through Kane's helmet. Assuming it would do the same for a Predator.
