What are the Maul "hex screws" really?

Most people just put a button head hex screw by the LED in their Maul saber, but I'm about 99.99% sure it isn't one. Anyone got any thoughts on what it really is and where to find a few?

I know for a fact they're not hex screws, but I don't know what they are.
I drew up accurate blueprints though if there's any interest.

What is on the MR Maul? Would that not be accurate and identifiable?

(I assume the had access to the actual prop since it was one of the current films.)

MR Maul is wrong. It has hex screws. They did not have access to the Hero only a resin stunt. The stunts were cast poorly so those parts were rough.

As I don't have any of these things yet I want to hold onto my blueprint, but if there's enough interest I'll send it to Russ or someone for a quote.

From what I can tell, it looks like a nipple
