Hi folks,
I've recently had a few members ask for pics and such regarding a few of the display cases that I've made in the past. It wasn't until today that I've had a chance to dig through my own archives and collect a few demo shots that I've taken over the years. Each version was more of a calculated experiment with several possible Brown Bess substitutes. Although the finished product turned out pretty well, I think the Aervo Earth is going to do the trick for the next case that I make. You'll see an example of that in the two pics that compare it to the MR Tracker finish. At least, it looks great in a photograph, eh.
Anyhow, I am having a little trouble locating the somewhat vintage pistol case that is the base for the WY flare box. If any of mah fellow pistol fans can help me locate at least 'one' of these cases, I would be ecstatic. As for the shell case, I've already got a good source for those.
Thanks so much, in advance. ...and BTW, the following pics can be clicked to pull up a hi-res version. Sorry. I just didn't want to load down this thread with a bunch of pics tonight when it is not necessary.
Thanks again,
