Westworld (HBO)

So my opinion by your own definition is nonsense because you don't agree with it.

Okay you win:lol:lol:lol...you love WeirdWorld,,,,,I think we all get it...:lol

Your assertions regarding the Man in Black simply aren’t supported by things that have happened in the show. Could it all go off the rails and wind up being terrible? Yeah, of course. Should we write it off pre-emptively and spout silly “theories” that have no basis in the reality the show has built thus far? Nope.

I like fan theories as much as the next person, but at least apply some logic using the framework of the show.

The Man in Black was recognized by a guest as a result of whatever he does in the outside world. I’d say that pretty definitively precludes him being a host since they have shown artists literally sculpting new faces for hosts, not just uploading likenesses of people from the outside world.

If you want to poopoo it, that’s fine… but don’t expect us to just blithely agree with something that so clearly goes against what is shown in the show.

When you say that shows that haven't had a second season yet have fallen into a rinse and repeat cycle after their first season, then your opinion isn't nonsense because I don't agree with it, it's nonsense because it quite simply isn't possible for it to make any sense.

How can you say that Westworld's second season will be rinse and repeat when the first season is only halfway done? Or that Stranger Thing's second season will be the same when they are still casting?

So ummm, yeah blackmail...that's the only angle I could see. The white engineer is just scared of being outed. The Asian engineer is actually intrigued and was wanting to push the boundaries with a tiny bird and now has the best boundary pusher with Maeve. Plus we get more nude monologues from her...I miss you Pervy eye emoji :(

Did anyone else notice that when Bernard was looking at the old system, it told him there were five anomalies in Sector 17...then when he went there, there were four people, a dog, and Ford in the house?

Does the dog count as one of the anamolies listed by the computer? If not, could Ford himself be one of the anamolies?

I think the computer was including the dog because it, too, was a “host”.

Yeah, I'm pretty positive they were referencing the dog as the 5th anomaly.

I think all those who compare other shows to LOST all the time need to get over it or get some therapy. There were plenty of other shows that went off the rails long before LOST, BUT to go after shows that have had only one season, or in this case is half way through it's FIRST season...Lighten the F--- up Francis.

Still watching, I think I´ll finish the season after all. But it is tedious, "Westworld" is one of those shows with lot´s of events but no real story. I mean what has actually happened in the six hours so far? You could fit it into three episodes. It did get better when we left Delores quest and got more of Maeve, though.

The guy that does the recaps for Entertainment Weekly finished last week's recap by saying that this week is "One That People Will Be Talking About," and said that Walking Dead fans might want to put Westworld on first this week.

Really liked that episode.

I had started to really think that some of the "backstage" employees were hosts last week...it would explain why nobody seemed to really even notice when Felix was walking Maeve around, because they're programmed to only focus on their task. Then tonight we were shown that one of the techs was a host...but I wasn't sure whether that was JUST for the purpose of that demonstration, or whether they basically were taking a tech that is always a host and just having him in that role? If there are hosts working as techs, that could also explain a bit why Sylvester and Felix are so easily "controlled" by Maeve...they simply aren't programmed to deal with those types of interactions.

I really didn't see the twist with Bernard coming...until right before Ford came in. He had literally just told Theresa that a host wouldn't be able to see that house even if they were standing right in front of it, and she said "Where does this door lead to?" and he responded with "What door?" even though it was right there in the plain sight.

So...my feeling is that Ford is 3D printing a "Theresa" host down there, and he'll effectively be able to put her back into her role without anyone even knowing, only now she'll be under his control.

I also thought we got some stuff from William to go with the personality of the MiB, if they are in fact the same person in two different timelines. He was doing a lot of talking about deeper meanings, and how inside the park he felt more real, and things like that. Those all seem to be ideas that we can attribute to the MiB from what we've heard him say in previous episodes. Interesting.

Well I've been waiting for the episode where the writers show us "This is the story we are really telling" and I was hoping that would not be the last episode of the season. It wasn't! :)

I watched TWD first, glad I did. It could not have followed this week's Westworld.

I think it's almost certain that Theresa will be back, only as a host, because she's still listed in the cast for two more episodes...so unless it's some kind of weird flashback (which it could be, maybe some memory that Bernard has...it seems pretty safe to say that she's going to be replaced by a host version of herself.

Who do you think Ford was printing in that basement? Think about it ;)
