Weird Jurassic Park IV Concept Art

This guy kinda looks like the boss from Dinosaurs.

just bring back this show instead of JP4

The success of JP was down to people wanting to see real dinosaurs. They still do. Human/hybrid dinosaurs would kill the franchise.

Yeah... since the first one... we basically have only seen usual horror monsters instead of what I would believe as real live animals.

Go back to what made the first one great, which wasn't just all the running and screaming and chasing - it was seeing these animals with a sense of awe and wonderment that has been severely lost in the sequels. Fun fact... in all the Jurassic Park films, we have never seen the Raptor go full speed - we saw a glimpse in JP3... but not enough to satisfy my need for wonder. Hell... just look at footage of a Cheetah running down its prey - gives me goose bumps I tell ya.

I want to relive the joy of seeing these animals again and not just movie monsters. That is why the first movie holds a special place in my heart. Grant said it right: "It's a dinosaur!"

EXACTLY my thoughts as well. The best scene in the original JP isn't the T-Rex (although that's a close second), isn't the raptors, it's when they first see the dinosaurs. That feeling of wonder and amazement gave me chills.

The dangers and fears regarding cloning and bio-engineering has never really been about the creation of hybrid monsters, but a contamination of the species, cross contamination, weakening of the species and the immune system against illness and infections - either by destroying the immune system or by making viruses resistant and more deadly by mutation - and defects and deformation. The slow death. Those are the real fears... not some garbled half human, half goat, half toad monster with enormous teeth and fangs (that's something cheap sci-fi movies do... and shouldn't be something Jurassic Park should stoop down to.)

Whoever is having these ideas are completely missing the point of what is and what isn't the fears about cloning... and the awe about seeing dinosaurs behave like real life animals.

If they really want to evolve the dinosaurs into humanesque proportions... why not go the unexpected route and have them peaceful and thoughtful and in tune with nature... oh wait... that's Avatar.

Bad for the franchise but if the story had nothing to do with JP universe then it could be a cool horror/action film. You can't do worse than Doom.

It kind of sounds like the old cartoon Dinosaucers. Dinosaurs who evolved and fought alongside humans against other evolved Dinosaurs who wanted to be evil.

Oh yeah! I remember that show. It was great. I think it came on after Denver the Last dinosaur.
