War of the Worlds Martian Tripod

Hi all,

I am very surprised and somewhat disappointed to see that there are no Martian Tripod Fighting machine models being produced anywhere.

This is the three legged Jeff Wayne version.

Perhaps copyright is an issue but none the less, I am sure that like me, there are many many fans out there who would love to have a replica model of one.

Yes I know the recent Tom Cruise movie version has a few models for sale of that tripod variant but how about the original?

Shame Comet Miniatures Version ceased production albeit that the scale was a little small.

I am producting a Jeff Wayne tripod kit that stands roughly 2 ft tall. It is indeed a builders kit as you will need to supply the rods for the legs. The kit is a hybrid of the original plans and the album cover. Not a difficult build, but it's best if you know what you're doing.

It surprised me too that there wasn't a kit readily available, although I wanted a big 'un anyway, so I made my own.

Wow. That is a beauty, if you did some kits I imagine there would be plenty of takers but no doubt its a pain to long in numbers and licencing a problem. Wonderful build, I am envious!!! What a display piece
