I'm molding mine this weekend. RoboCop is my default avatar. I would like to do it one day though. It's my favorite armor. Maybe next?

Me too..i want to finish it...im working on other stuff...but im getting money for this doing side jobs.....well if you have any advise for my wm let me know i would really appreciate it..

Just keep doing what you're doing. It will pay off in the end.

It's down to either RoboCop (classic) or Iron Patriot. Tough to choose. Are you going to do that one is paper pep too?

Really good to see you are getting some recognition for the suit man as its well deserved. I hope I get at least one off forum mention when I am done. Although seeing as we have Xrobots on this side of the pond I guess he will get all the coverage here as his is in a world of its own

I cant wait for this tutorial either but I am pretty sure Stealth is working on the mold for the WM helmet. Since im down to get in on one of the helmets im ok with waiting for the tutorial :cool

Stealth, I ran into your youtube videos and now this and I am all inspired and joined the rpf, soon as I can afford a hot glue gun and some foam (poor college student me), I will be following suit (pun intended :lol). Even thinking of making a modified mark VI for my wife when i get the chance.

Yours is gonna be so great man don't give up. I kinda felt that way, but I was on a deadline and such. Too stressful so I took a break and now I'm going back over everything. I feel alot better after the break and ready to go now.

Ah man, that thing is gonna be the sweetest looking warmachine replica around when it's done. Just focus on finishing the suit before you worry about the electronics.

I second that Stealth! It is super easy to bog down on a build by trying to overkill the details, bells and whistles!! Build your basic suit one piece at a time and try not to dwell on the details and issues that have to be solved. Building armor is like eating an elephant! It has to be done one bite at a time.
After you are done, go back and refine the suit, add the cool motors, lights and rockets. If you happen to stumble onto something that will help you with the fancy stuff later that is cool(ie. I just found an aluminum swing arm assembly with hinges that fits inside Wondersquids awesome minigun vacuuforms like it was meant for it!!!) but don't try to knock it outta the park in one swing!!
You can do this!!!!!

I don't know really. I always make resin helmets.

I'd say just make a paper/resin helmet and you'll have no worries.

ok...u got a link to the hinge setup Stealth? I'd like to try it but i've had a hard time trying to find a cheaper setup than the servos. I like the idea u used which is sum type of gearbox that you mentioned on ur thread.

Sorry. Nothing right now. Really busy with other things. That Helmet is under silicone at the moment as well.

I just did it somewhat similar to everyone else, with minor adjustments to make it fast like the movie.
These are things accomplished through trial and error though.

If you search, there are a lot of threads on this already.
people have gone into more detail with their methods.
