Wagner Paint Sprayer and House Paint...anyone ever tried painting foam this way?

:confusedI was just curious if anyone had ever tried painting foam with a Wagner Paint Sprayer and regular latex interior house paint. I have heard that the latex house paint is flexible on foam and as long as you have a good base layer and a nice protective layer that it may work.

My idea was to plasti dip the base coat. Spray the armor with regular interior latex paint (House paint from Lowes, Home Depot, etc..) with a Wagner Sprayer. Then I planned on capping it off with a clear coat of plasti dip as a protective layer.....
BUT....

If someone has already been down this path before and knows it won't work due to one reason or another I figured I would ask and save myself the trouble of carrying out the process.

I had one of the more expensive Wagner models, used it a few times and sold it. It was only really good for painting a fence in my opinion. It would frequently spit paint. I bought a cheapo canister spray gun, hooked it up to my compressor and used it to paint some furniture with great results. It cost less than the Wagner and was easier to clean afterwards. I think this would be a better solution for your project.

I can confirm house paint works fine on foam, I've painted a foam iron man suit, stormtrooper armour and Boba Fett armour all in house paint and it works out really cheap. I didn't even seal the foam just went straight on with the paint, I used a brush however not a sprayer.
