Well, It was about time for me to finally start this project... I had purchased most of the parts in sept but haven't had the time to actually start this... After many idea's on how to pose him, I figured the best way would be to have him hanging by his tail...

I'm pretty much done "boning" him out, I'll hopefully get to painting and weathering the bones this weekend.. By this time next week, I should have it fleshed out and haired.... I know the skeleton isn't 100% accurate, but I'm satisfied with it....

Here are the first few pics

What a great idea. Where did you get the skeleton? Did you make the head? It looks great. How posable is he?

Thanks.....

The skeleton is actually a miniature human skeleton I purchased from Ebay, which seemed just the right size for a capuchin monkey.. The skull is a 1:1 scale capuchin monkey skull.. It was cast in 1 piece, which I had to dremel the jaw off which was a task in itself without breaking off the teeth..

Its limited in posability, had to wire some of it in place, but if I decide to change the pose, I can pose it into a sitting position... The tail has a wire core, which is pretty poseable, and can easily be wrapped around a post to let it hang

Very cool. Please post pics after your done weathering it this weekend - I'm dying to see how this turns out. Awesome start.

Way, way, WAY cool project, Rob. It's about time someone comes out with a new, unique, and TOTALLY cool project.

Let me say that again:

What a fantastic I idea, and an impressive start. I'm bookmarking this thread right now. Looking forward to more WIP pics and the finished product. GREAT idea :thumbsup

That... is... awesome. Any thoughts on the tail? A dino model maybe?

Man, I wish I had an undead monkey to shoot whenever I felt like it.
