Hey guys, thought some of you here may dig this. This was my first project in sculpture this semester and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. It will have a pretty cool display I'm putting together, so expect more pics when it's done.
I sculpted it in wed clay, did an encapsulated mold, cast a couple solid plaster bucks, then vacuum formed over the top. I've sanded one of the bucks and polished up really nice and smooth. I plan on re-molding it for the final buck. That way, it's as smooth as can be and I ca pour it out of a heat resistant plastic rather than brittle plaster.
Anyways, on with the pics. Hope you guys like it!
And the test pull
Finally, weathered.
A bit more blood...
And a final set of photos of what inspired my design.
I used the mainly the nose and eye shapes from the Casey Jones (film) mask, the brow shape brows from the 89 Batman mask, the overall size of the Jason X mask, and then just a bit of my own "flavor" haha.
Thanks for looking
