In 1996 one of the former owners of "Forbidden Planet" in Edinburgh, Kenny Penman, had organized the "Star Trek- the Exhibition", starting in Edinburgh and then moving it to Cologne.

I came across this youtube clip of the exhibit in Cologne:

A blast from the past in the heydays of Star Trek: TNG.

Bumping an old thread. I think I have some photos stashed away somewhere, too. Anybody interested? The costumers? Scale modelers?

Sure, Love to see some pics! :thumbsup

That year was the 30th Anniversery of TOS, I remember those years fondly.

Great times for Trek, sad to see what it has become now, :unsure

just thought i'd mention it.

Cool exhibit! I remember going to see a Star Trek exhibit back in the mid 90's, VERY big, some interactive stuff, even a merch store. I wish I had pictures to share.

There was a museum in NYC that was all about video and news and so forth.
Can't for the life of me remember the name...

It opened in the late 90's.

During those first few months there was a ST: TNG costume exhibit,
and I recall the costume of that alien whom Crusher zapped in a shuttlecraft. She was hosting several scientists and one was killed
The costume had a jagged patch of green, center mass, for the hole thru the chest effect.

They had viewing booths to access their archives.
I watched the Star Wars Holiday Special .
It was played back thru their system of Hi8 tape machines.
