So around Halloween 2012 I was contacted by a customer wanting a video game style Deadpool mask to go with the rest of his costume. The video game designs were used as reference, but the customer wanted so changes to the mask, so it is not 100% accurate to the game. In the end I think it came out looking awesome.
First thing I did was sculpt out the eye shapes on to a sculpting bust.
Then I made a mold of the clay sculpt so I could have a vacuformed buck made. The customer wanted the mouth section open so he could breath easier and do deadpool style expressions.
The under shell eye sections were vacuformed out of black styrene and trimmed just around the eyes and the forehead. And the eyes were made out of the same style mesh used for spider-man lenses.
After all of that was completed the shell was sent off to KnowOne's Designs to have the red hood sewn. Once the hood was finished the hood is glued down to the face shell. These were just pictures of the prototype.
This is the competed final mask that was sent off to the costumer.
And here is the happy customer wearing it
Thanks for stopping by and looking at this mask. I am doing a free give-a-way of one of these masks through my facebook "like" page listed in my signature below. So stop by and enter the contest if you might be interested in one of these.
