VFX Miniature - Fantasy Forest

Is this forum only for replicas?
I'm not sure if I'm doing something very wrong here.

I've made a 1:20 scale miniature with two of my colleagues and then done some matte painting and compositing in post. We made a time-lapse of the building-process that I hope you will enjoy. We only had three days to do this, as It's only a quick test for a production company in Denmark.

Hope you like it! BTW. I love this forum!

I don't think it's the right forum for this and will probably be moved .. but I love your work! I'd love to hear more about the project if it's not NDA stuff of course! :)

Very well done! Only 3 days, wow!

Yes, it belongs in the general modeling section. Studio scale is the reproduction of miniatures exactly how they were made for specific movies.

Thanks guys!

..but I love your work! I'd love to hear more about the project if it's not NDA stuff of course!

It's a family adventure movie in 3D. The final miniature effects will be at a larger scale. Probably 1:12. And of course with more time! :) There are many things we will be able to do better with a slightly higher budget and some more time. This is just a test to show and convince the producers that miniatures are a good approach. And it seems they agree. :) Unfortunately, miniatures are very rare in danish films. But we're trying to do something about it!

I'll keep you updated.

Top Job sir, watched all the videos and your skills are great.
I live miniatures and modeling and to finish this in 3 days is incredible

Keep up the good work

cheers

Thanks guys. I'm located in Copenhagen. Denmark. A very uncommon place for miniatures in films. But we are working on it. I also do directing, and I'm playing with some ideas for a sci-fi short. :)
