I really like the loose military uniform look of his outfit. Much better than the traditional skin-tight superhero suit.

Im so glad the film takes place entirely during WWII....Much more interesting backdrop than the present day.

Its the best way to handle it, because Cap was thawed by the Avengers. ...

Well they do seem to be trying to follow the Ultimates versions of these characters from previous films, Nick Fury, etc, and in the Ultimate Universe the Avengers do not find cap. In that universe Shield finds cap frozen, revive him and he recuits the rest of the Avengers team. I figure they likely are just mixing and matching universe histories as they see fit but figured I would point that out since people keep talking about these being the Ultimate versions but that origin is different (I don't think there was a Red Skull for that matter in Ultimates with Cap they were just Nazi's he was fighting before the big freeze.)


As for these current images they are not helping me much...can't stand the helmet look, or the loose costume leather and old school football helmet look, BUT... it is slightly better then what we had before which was a motorcycle helmet wearing cap. :cheers

This pic is what Cap should look like. No armor scales, no stick out wings. He looks like the type of character that has the ability to be a living symbol to the troops and a mythic "psy-ops" object to the enemy, i.e. is he real, is he superhuman, is there more of him.

Great costume. I'm jazzed.

The only thing I'm curious about is why they decided to cover the ears. I don't really mind it but I am a bit curious at that particular design choice. And of course the old Salinger film had rubber ears which was truly weird.

Yeah? I actually think it's cool. He's a guy with some gear on. He looks like a soldier, except in red, white, and blue instead of OD and black.
