Undersuit padding for T-45 Power Armor

Getting a Fallout T-45 Power Armor kit in the coming weeks and under it I'm hoping to make some sort of black ribbed padding to cover the bend in my elbows as well as the backs of my knees. I've been told this armor is very warm to wear so many have suggested wearing Under Armor type suits like we all wear with our TKs. But, the focus is on what I should use for the black ribbed padding and how to connect it to an under suit, how to fabricate it, etc... here's a few pics to show what I'm talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (To those that know, YES- I am aware that the armor in the photos is T-60 armor, not T-45 armor, but I'm using the pics as an example.)

You should consider using something like this.

Just cover it in some stretchy black fabric and you're done. mount it to the inside of the suit with straps and parachute buckles.
