Ultimate Iron Man Foam Build (WIP)

Ive seen many threads for movie based iron man builds both foam and pep and indeed I am also working on a mkVI foam of my own but I havent seen much in the way of foam built "Ultimate" Iron Man. So I have begun a foam Ultimate Iron Man build. This is a WIP and I will update as I go along. Currently working on the gauntlets but have completed the Helmet (twice as the first was too small, second at +10% scale)

All the templates are the foam edited files from JFCustom.
:Off Topic: Attached image of my mkVI WIP also

dude, i started an ultimate build a while a go. Its such a cool armor. i'm really looking forward to seeing more of your build. The helmet you have made looks great so far

I long to see it complete ! Too many wips are called to remain unfinished, hold on and post your progress :love:thumbsup

If you long for it then it shall be done. HaHa

Quick question JF, I had to make the helmet 10% larger to fit my fat head however the chest/back at +10% make me look pregnant its so big. Im 6foot tall average build and most pep files at stock scale fit great. should I just build the rest of the suit to stock scale?
Its hard to work out scaling with the slightly exploded 3d pep models.

i love this suit, and i want to build it someday, but theres so much other stuff to build too. i will see where this goes, tho, as i love the ultimate iron man

MedX -> If you print every file setting the scale to 25, you will theoricaly obtain a 187,6 cm suit. A perfect match for a 6' guy. Note that the helmet is set to 23, caus I hate when my helmet doesn't turn along with my head. Anyway, even if you choose foam building you should get EyeOfSauron's set of files too : since we used the same model it may help you a lot to visualize a non-exploded display of each part of the suit.

Thanks for the tips. The EyeOfSauron files have some details that the JF files don't and vice versa so having both will be very helpful. Forearms mostly done just need to add the detail to the tops. Post progress pics shortly.

Gauntlets/Forearms so far. still need some of the detail and sorry for poor image quality on the last one, just there for reference to my body.

Hey MedX, another South Aussie huh? Welcome! Good luck with the build, your progress so far looks good mate.

Just a quick update. havent had much time to work on the suit but I have done the biceps now. Hoping to have it complete for SupaNova in November.

I don't follow the comic, and I'm not very much like the suit when I first saw it.
But seeing this...wow!
Very nice work, looking forward to see more progress of it.
Love the gauntlets, especially the gills.

Thanks. Good comments help me to complete more. A friend of mine is trying to modify this suit as a "WAR MACHINE" but he has only completed the helmet so far. Im hoping he can get a move on so we can cosplay together.

Quick update shoulders mostly done (x2 so my friend has a set) working on shins ATM. Will post pics when shins are done, also friends modded helmet.

Thought my thread deserved an update for anyone that may actually be following the build

Havent had a lot of time to work on the suit but some progress has been made. Legs are mostly done, still need cod and chest/back and feet. photo looks a bit awkward because none of the parts are attached to eachother so i was tensing to hold all the bits in place. (Abs are a bit small or im a bit too fat so they arent connected at back yet)

EDIT: sorry for left shoulder being upside-down, my wife put it there, LOL
