HI,
After many adventures I have finally finished the build of the Warthog from Halo, for Operation Chastity, the Halo fan Film by Peter Cooper.
www.operationchastity.com

The dash was finished on Thursday night, and it was on site on Friday !
Its taken almost a year of spare time for me to do it, and truthfully, I am extremely pleased on how its turned out.
Its built on a Landrover 110 Diesel, and to date needs a new radiator, a fuel tank, and to be wired back up for it to be fully working ;-)
I was on site at the show on Saturday- the response was amazing, and I got to meet Shaun Farrow, VFX to Batman Begins, who is also connected to the film project.

is the build thread on here.

I strongly recommend checking out the photos posted by Steve Green and Keith Huckfield via the Operation Chastity Facebook group....here are a select few to get you started:

Bump for the US crowd who may have missed the early posting time- this project and Operation Chastity is on its 38th page or so on the 405th ;-)

Already commented on the 405th but dang is that a sexy build. Great job again to you and your entire team!

Fantastic work, even better in the flesh- I was the Steampunk chap that enquired whether it was Land Rover based...

:)

great work on this dan , i was there on the RPB stand and got to drool all over it ...mostly Sunday and i didnt get a chance to meet you as i think you werent around . had a good chat with pete cooper though the proud owner.
Great job i was very impressed particularily as its plywood covered in fibreglass , you would never guess as the finish is awesome. A large gun on the back would be my priority over a boring radiator though :lol

Thanks very much again ;-)

I am awaiting further news form the client- the Warthog should be appearing in two magazines in the near future, which will be very cool indeed. Its going to be nice to get some decent photos too- the ones here, although great, don't really get a full look at everything, and the hues in the green have been lost.

Ill keep people updated, maybe it'll end up in a 1:1 section too ;-)

D

Dan, thats some amazing work fella.

If your the same Dan that created the Judges costumes (in was an honor to wear one at bics) then "im not worthy" comes to mind.

keep up the good work

cheers

That'd be me then ;-) Cheers !!!!

( Ive just seen some pics of the artist Greg Staples wearing the costume for the Judge Minty fan film, taken on location during a location prep on Sunday- he's going to be our 'young Dredd'. Looks amazing !)
