Interest U pic it, we make it - 3d Printed Gun kit

Those little robots from batteries not included would be great, there is one company golden armor who offers the smallest one of the robots Little Guy in kit form & they claim that the cast are taken from ILM masters & also that they are working on releasing the other two robots as well.

You can find them here Batteries not included. - Batteries Not Included Robots - DreamScheme Studios

While were voting though I'd like to add my vote for Rico's Puzzle Gun from the original Judge Dredd or even the Aspen prison guard or judge hunter rifles from the same film.

The reason I ask is that I have been thinking about the history of the board and items that seem to gain a lot of interest but the projects do not seem to happen. One item or items that comes to mind is the "Batteries Not Included" robots.

For a movie that was not a block buster and came out in 1987, it is an item that still gets a lot of attention when they are brought up. I've never even seen the movie but those guys are cute. I could easily see it as a project that i would be interested in.

The robots are cool, possibly in the future...

Otherwise, I think the night night gun is in the lead atm, lets keep it going!

The problem with Leias blaster is all those round "washer" pieces on the end of the barrel. They would be almost impossible to print w/o supports, and removing the supports would be impossible. Printing them separately and having people attach is an option, but I'm not sure how feasible 20ish small pieces is, and they wouldn't be fun to space out and attach... Brain hurts...

Syd Mead concept gun for Blade Runner..... Please... PLEASE :D

I hope it's suitable! I would really love to have one of these... I know they've been replicated before, but that was probably not by 3D printing... If you go further with your plans outside this thread, well, I'm interested in one too (depending on price etc. etc.) :) It's a beautiful piece for sure!

I know absolutely ZERO about 3D printing, that's why I hoped someone else could do it for me :D Perhaps it's possible to print two pieces that fit together and then with a bit of drilling and hinging it would be possible? But it's just speculation....

You don't have to. Click this link: Home

My advice on the Leia blaster is the same i gave you on the Solo Blaster: Make the base gun first: http://www.hallowellco.com/Margolin-left.jpg

For some people, that is all they need as they can get or may have the parts required to make one. If you can make the required parts (or at least as many as possible) that would be cool too.
