$1500 probably includes everything. Course, gold is much more expensive now than when I bought mine.

$1500 is about right ..gold is at about $1500 an oz right now.
I would say that is cheap for a custom ring.

If anyone else wants to try to make a replica, here is a source for a gemstone that would work quite well for this ring:

Unlike most of the cabochons I've seen for sale, these ones are flat, opaque and relatively solid in color. I bought a couple of them already, with hopes I might someday be able to have a gold ring fabricated to match the one in the film.

Here is my second attempt at the Black Lodge Ring. This one is also in brass, but I think its closer to screen accurate.
Since it is brass it does tarnish some, but a quick buffing every once in a while and its as shiny as ever.

Based on screen caps I've seen, looks spot on, Zenix. I'll check my ring size again, but I think I'm between 11 and 12...and if you make a 7 or so, I may get one for my daughter as well.
