Ok. I have a sketchy memory of some 90s series, set either IN the future or just scifi based(?) A white guy main character, a woman, and his black friend(90s show, remember?) They are either cops or some sort of private eyes.
I have scoured the episode synopsis of Max Headroom, Tek War and various other shows, not getting anywhere.
I remember two episodes: One where a country singer in full western gear is thawed out early by people attempting to shake him down. His money is in the hands of "The colonel" his past manager. The manager is over 100, is basically a head on a box attended by hot girls, he exists still because he eats black strap molasses. (weird, the details that stick!)
The other episode is a lottery plot: The guy and a date buy a lottery ticket which includes the birth dates of his partners, so they feel entitled when he wins. Then the ticket goes missing when his wallet is lifted during a bar fight, giant search, yadda yadda. They find the ticket and try to redeem it, only to find there's a 105% wealth tax on the lottery to prevent millionaires...ooook. But then someone wakes up, finding that it was all a dream, except the ticket is on the ground next to whomever fainted.
