Great build. If I had seen it completed without a history, I never would have guessed it was built from the simplest materials available. Very convincing scratch build. Great use of every day materials.

I'm a new member and have just seen this thread. I have read it from start to finish. Wow. One of the most enjoyable and fascinating things I have ever seen. From start to finish the skill and vision to put this together was huge. Loved it. Thanks for posting it and sharing with us. I missed the negative comments (why are people so unkind) but am so glad you continued. Truly amazing work and a great story. Something to be proud of.

@Chris27989 The only reference I used was the Gridded image I showed in the final image I posted on page 9 of this thread. I just got it printed out at 1:1. That is to say, 12 inches by 12 inches. If you need any further help, just pop an air ticket in the post to me and I'll pop over to help you out!:lol
Although, I cannot think of a single reason why I would want to spend Christmas in glorious sunshine, rather than this hell hole weather we are experiencing here!

The part of the build that I empathized with the most, is the moment of panic when you think the thing sucks and you are about to toss it in the bin, then ,,, you wait another day, and go on and make it fabulous. Many of us have been there, and will be again. It is what makes the outcome so much sweeter!
