For some reason that 89 pin just reminds me of the Babylon 5 Psi corp pin.

Your right, it does remind you of the psi corp.

It also made me think of the Thulsa Doom snake symbol from Conan the Barbarian movie.

Thanks Cody! Any coaching on how. I tried without letting up on the mouse button when turning the dial. And I have followed the directions how open a lock. But you have to let it up to pull on the shank

I believe it's 89, short for 1989, the year Kevin Flynn disappeared. His son uses the stylized 89 to remember his dad.

oops, I misunderstood. While you do get virtual badges for 99 kills (Time Killer badge) and 999 kills (Overkill badge). There is also a badge for finding Sam in the Locator (Search For Sam badge).

Also, there are three additional virtual badges from finding codes when playing Space Paranoids. The codes are entered @ helloflynn.com and you get cool pics of Recognizers, Light Cycles and the Light Runner PLUS the follow three virtual badges:
