Working on a few, but I think I'm closer to finishing Maul first. Unless you guys want more council sabers first.

or an accurate Anakin ROTS

I've got an original Mace Windu casting as well as original Windu grips that we could reproduce if you wanted.

Roman's Empire is going to be making Darth Maul lightsabers very soon, he's already started an interest thread so you might want to do something else......like a Shaak Ti lightsaber.

Windu is the other one high on the list, as well as Kit Fisto/Windu Ep1.

The problem with Roman's is they aren't hollow. I would love to have a maul perfectly sized and made as well as Trid does all of his sabers that is hollow. With a 1" blade on there I'd be real happy. Though I wouldn't mind seeing more council sabers too.

As much as I like the Maul, I would go for an accurate Windu like a starving man goes for a bacon sandwich.

Well maybe I'll just hold off on the Maul...for a while. I don't want to step on Roman's toes, as I highly respect him and his work. I was unaware he was doing a run. However, I still have my close up photos taken at the Lucas Film Archives of the hero saber and all my measurements. I can easily make a hollow version at a future date when demand rises again. There are plenty of sabers to go around until then. An accurate and hollow Mace would be a sight to behold...if it's possible. The emitter might need to be fudged to accept a 1" blade, but I could still have an accurate one to put on when a blade isn't in there. And a nice Kit Fisto with the funky bearings around the emitter would be groovy too. We'll all take a vote and decide together later on. I'll keep working on blueprints in the mean time for both. :)

:angryGrrr His main machine broke down just as he was going to start the first piece. He's been taking thing apart and trying to fix it all week, but so far it hasn't worked. He called a professional repair person in, but the soonest the can show up is this Tuesday. Hopefully they can get it up and running by the end of the day. I'll let you all know what happens as soon as I hear back from him.

It's turned into a multi-day fix apparently, and still not done. The Delrin is finally in, and he's going to start work on that, as he just uses the mill for those pieces and that machine is working. At least we can get some grips or bulb releases churned out. We were kind of wanting to wait on the little parts until we have the big parts though to make sure everything fits well together, but we've lost a week already due to this repair I think we're just going to start anyway.

So the machine is FINALLY fixed. Turned out to be one dinky little solid state relay that had blown out and a loose connection in a switch. :rolleyes

Anyway, he had a quick emergency job come in from his main employer that he has to do that will take a day or two at most, and then it's back to the sabers full speed ahead!

Here's the pile of stock for the run. The big ones with the hollow core on the left will be the shrouds, the thinner ones in the middle will be the inner cores, and the mid-sized ones all the way on the right will be the main bodies:

We were hunched over the work desk for a good 45 minutes too going over the plans and discussing details and changes. I found out that I have to make a slight internal modification to the shroud to allow for a more secure lockdown with the threaded knobs, so that those of us who plan on banging these around with blades won't strip the threads:

All in all this has been a ridiculously slow start, and for that, I apologize, but he has a few jobs lined up after this, so he's going to get these done as quickly as possible.
