These Star Trek Original TV Series Costumes and Props are on exhibit in a traveling display called "Out of This World". Many of the items are from the "Paul Allen Collection". I'll post a few images at a time. The first images are of the Kirk "Mirror, Mirror" tunic.

Enjoy,

Tom

This can be seen in Oshkosh Wisconsin thru May 18. Looks like it will be moving on to Montana after that with several other stops this year.

Tom, are you local to this area? I'm only 20 minutes south of Oshkosh. If anyone needs additional detail images after Tom posts his, let me know. Would be no problem to stop by and get some more pictures.

Tiberius Kirk, looks like your wardrobe on display.:lol

Yes, the exhibit is in Oshkosh, Wisconsin right now. Anyone that wants to get together at the Museum can PM me and maybe we can arrange a group get-together. Here's the Museum's website: http://www.oshkoshmuseum.org/

Some of my pics are a bit grainy because I didn't have a tripod and it was pretty dark. I'm going to go back with a video camera and also take more HDRI still images to get the best pictures.

Now, here's another TOS Trek item. An original studio scale model of the Klingon battle cruiser used in the show, also from the Paul Allen Collection. Gotta love that Paul Allen guy!

This was a FANTASTIC exhibit, and I hope the first of more (there's a LOT of stuff still in storage). Seeing those outfits was pretty impressive - usually I focus on the models and props, but those were pretty neat to see.

This was the same exhibit that had the 6-foot Enterprise D :)

The Enterprise D is not with this exhibit unfortunately :cry

Sweet!!! That is not far from where I live. I have to go see that. What else is there?:eek

The Kingon ship BTW is the "AMT Prototype", a copy of the miniature that was NOT filmed, but actually given to Matt Jefferies (as is my understanding).

There are some differences between the AMT prototype and the filming miniature. The most obvious being the little "apostrophe" symbol after the 7CS lettering on the model.

Called the AMT Prototype because the Klingon ship (as well as the Shuttlecraft) was made by the AMT corporation.

The other model was repainted and modified and ultimately went to the Smithsonian.

I suspected it was in too good of shape. And also the mounting hole was underside, which would have shown in the FX shots.

Thanks for the info.

Apparently the Klingon model was hung from piano wire. There are three littke knobs on the model (at least one visible in your photos) for hanging it.

Here's another of my favorites…the "Environmental Suit" worn by Dr. McCoy in "The Tholian Web".
