Transparent PVC pipe - where to buy?

I`m looking for about 5 foot of PVC pipe to make a stand for my new AES helmet thats arriving soon.

I`ll make some sort of base

The idea is to have the helmet at head height on the end of the clear PVC pole.

I`m finding it difficult to source any.

Probably 2 inch or 3 inch wide.

How about acrylic tubing?

You should go with the acrylic tubing. I got some of the transparent PVC from mcmastercar about a year ago and it isn't really clear. More like a smoke tint and I'm not to sure how you'd go about getting the letters off. Also it came with a lot of scratches, something that wouldn't really mater if you were going to use it for plumbing but I really don't think this stuff would make a good display.

If you go with the acrylic tubing get cast not extruded.
Extruded has a texture to it and is more brittle.

Acrylic tubing is expensive.
