But i finally found two who were willing to take the risk. Only 2 more vintage patches and one USN pin needed to complete the front CVW-19 and the black border tomcat.

how close is the jacket to the one in top gun?

Screen caps assembled into one pic. Looks like the red stripes are thinner than the white. Also, it appears only Cougar has a gold outline. Hope this helps!

Late to the game here but I would check with A-B Emblem for their flags. If the costume crew were keeping things as accurate as possible, they may have used their flags, as they are official supplier to NASA and other military branches...

I had some at my desk here for my NASA blue flight suit, but they are no longer handy.
