Tomenosuke Blade Runner blaster mod question

Hi all. I am contemplating rubbing graphite powder to my Tomen "blued" parts to give more of a realistic shine instead of the current matt look. Before I attempt, has anyone here tried this method and had successful results?

I have not seen anyone try that. It's definitely worth a shot! If it doesn't look the way you want, you can always remove it.

I personally stripped mine back to bare metal and then blued it
