Tomb raider (vg) (2013)

I'm hoping it still keeps the TR franchise going for future games. They did a really bad job of advertising the game until it came out too.

Man some gamers have no sense of imagination. In one of the documents another group is mentioned and nobody can figure it out but if you know about WW2 you can guess what it is.

God i just wanna climb all over the Zero they have in that one pic. Yeah did you read the comments making fun of Square's idea that people like the MP component? Want to bet that cut out submarine area shows up next?

I really hate DLC.

I have no interest in hooking my PS3 to the internet.
To bad they just don't do what they did with TR3 and have a disk with extra levels.

And again with the system exclusive levels really ticks me off.

Finished my second run through the game.

First run through everything was perfect, second time though has all sorts of glitches.

In the coastal bunker one of the rooms had the furniture floating in air and there was sky and water instead of wall and floor and when I went into the room she fell.
The last glitch like that was at the beach, I went to jump on a rock and she ran right through it.

I should have finished at 100% since I made sure I found everything in all the areas but on finishing I got a 99%.
It said I missed 2 items that I know I had found so I had to go back and get them again.

Weird.

I've only hit one glitch and that was a floating flashlight my first time thru. I swear that these updates they make you download make things worse.

I forgot about the floating flashlights that where in my first run.:facepalm
They where not present the second time through.

All things considered so few glitches is amazing given how bad the usual games are. Mass effect 3 is still glitchy as hell.

Bioshock 2 I didn't have problems until after I downloaded a patch, after that the Little Sisters didn't make any sound.

I miss the Ham and Jammy song.:cry

Well I started game 3.
We'll see what happens this time.

Nagging me, torturing my mind!!!...

Who the **** is lighting all the candles!

There must be tens of thousands of freekin' candles in this game, all lit, never blown out, never needing replacement! Do they buy them in wholesale? Make them out of people fat like in Fight Club? There are so many bodies just laying around everywhere maybe so.

Porn has the same darn issues. A couple go on some spontaneous date, want to get it on, go to the bedroom, and boom. Candles everywhere.

Well where'd all the corpses come from? They make it seem like millions of people vanish there every year without anyone wondering where they went lol. Corpses don't last that long, except for those mummified japanese soldiers.

I was amazed at the size of the Japanese team, it sounded small until you see they must have had half the army there. People still are arguing about who "trinity" is on some forums. That'll teach them to pay attention in history class lol.

What's interesting is that the first operative had what sounded like a German accent (possibly one of the many Germans there in the research facility)

Well that not mentioning "Trinity" called it an Axis project so i'm assuming that the japanese and germans were working together on it as it would have benefited both. It's why i'm guessing Trinity was either the Manhattan project scientists or a code name for the Allied trinity of powers: US, england, russia. It explains who destroyed all the cannons in the fortified areas. They banana peeled the barrels with explosives. That's the downside to this game and the Uncharted: they tease you with amazing ww2 stuff but then keep going without expanding or exploring.

Square now says despite 3.5 million copies sold in 3 days it didn't hit what they wanted yet they failed to give single players more than 4 things of DLC and tried to make their money off multiplayer.
They had extremely unrealistic sales goals for all of these games. They honestly expected the games (not just this one, but Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs as well) to sell upwards of 5-10M copies. That's just not realistic in this day and age. Yes, Call of Duty and Halo do that, because they're frikkin' Call of Duty and Halo.

The problem is that with those assumptions of how many copies they would sell, they upped the budget of the games to match, especially Tomb Raider. "Well, we're gonna make $200M anyway, let's go ahead and spend $150M making it".

It just so happens that, while the new TR game actually turned out to be a pretty good game from what I hear (I haven't really played it yet myself), it wasn't what the masses wanted. It's not really a classic TR game, so you lost a lot of your old-school players. And new-school players need something hip and original, and this was just another Uncharted game. Which is good for the Xbox folks who haven't played those before, but not so good for Playstation folks who have.
