Tomb Raider (2013) Journal and Paper Props

It dawned on me that the ancient Japanese documents should be on traditional Japanese paper.
Washi is the traditional paper used in Japan since about 600 AD.
It can get expensive, up to over $200 a sheet but down to something far more reasonable and you could probably find something similar looking in the scrap booking section at most craft stores.

This site sells large sheets in different types for a decent price.
Might even be able to just use the sample book as long as there is no printing on the pages.
Another site I found offers 3"x6" samples for about 75 cents each.

Now the real problem is the text in ancient Japanese and Chinese.

I started compiling the diary entries.

I've already hand written them out for my journal and added post it notes from Lara.

Something to remember when writing things out, Lara and Sam are both Left Handed (makes things easier for me) :D

I did some photo shop on a couple pictures found on the net.
The first one started out as someone else putting Lara's face on a barmaid, I completely changed the background and reflection in the mirror.
Kinda grainy but I'll put it down to low lighting.

The second one I changed the shirt and hat.

Any progress? Are you guys sure that "Trinity" is german? To me it sounds like it would be the allies as you have Stalin, Roosevelt/Truman/and Churchill. I've been thinking of doing news articles that take place after the game where the island is found and translations of all the documents that lara found in proper format. Problem is finding examples of WW2 japanese documents from the field to officers in japan. I figure i'd also make some from the commander on the island updating his bosses but i haven't found any translated documents that show me what format to use when addressing a message to a japanese superior from a subordinate.

I have been working on other things lately so no progress aside from getting a copy of "Essential Kanji" to help with proper stroke order and patterns.

The first message sounds German (at least to me) where the second and final one sounds to be American.
I'm guessing that the first one was a Trinity spy mixed in with the German scientist on the island.

You could be right about the Allies connection or it could be some sort of secret organization like the Illuminati or Masons.

It'd make sense that the germans would either be helping or spying as would the US. Some also think that it's a link to stuff from the older games as apparently there was a Trinity Industries but that seems a stretch to me. I wish they'd let you explore the wrecked ships more, i'd have loved to have learned more about the fighting against the US there and explore that wrecked battleship. Not to mention that sub hangar they didn't include or that Zero in the hangar that was for the MP DLC only.

There is so much on the island that can be explored even the ancient cities.
I would really love to explore the sub pen and the sub itself.

I did a search and can't find anything on Trinity Industries accept on some bizarre fan site that tried to incorporate the TR franchise into all kinds of things including assassins creed.:confused

There was Natla Industries.

I just saw Trinity industries mentioned on a forum when i was looking for ideas for paper props so it probably is a fan thing that someone ran with.
