TMNT Turtles full costumes.

I have the opportunity to buy fully painted head to toe costumes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These were made for the live action TV show that only lasted one season. They were made for the second season that did not happen. They are ready to be worn just missing the animatronics in the masks.

I am wondering what people here think that something like that might be work per suit. I am trying to get a consensus before I buy. I appreciate all suggestions. Before anyone asks I am 100% sure of there authenticity.

Thanx
Chris

Any photos by any chance? This sounds so cool. I always thought something like that regarding the Turtles would be great to have.

Nobody has any suggestions. Come on guys I though I was running into a wealth of knowlege and advice here. Help a brother out.

Have they made you an sale price offer on them? If you could get them for $500, that would be a steal, but I would guess asking price is closer to a grand or more.

Remember if they're made from foam latex they will rot quickly unless kept in an airtight bag out of sunlight.

You may be paying for something that you can't display and will rot away in a couple fo years if you do. I wouldn't go to high on th price for this very reason.

Not taking display and shelf life into account, it all comes down to whether or not you want to spend the cash on a TMNT suit not from the films... Next Mutation went it's own route for the Turtles, giving each one a different bandana design (and adding a female turtle) but the show tanked hard, and the Turtles in the show pale compared not only to Henson's original TMNT suits, but the third film's cartoony caricitures as well, IMHO

There's no way anyone can guess...if it goes for auction and two people WANT it, then they can bid up the price to stupid amounts....so how can anyone tell. It's not like we can base our estimates on anything, as these suits aren't readily available.

I mean we can all establish they're rare and an awesome prop, but where as I may be willing to offer $20, you may be willing to offer $2000, so your guess is as good as ours. At the end of the day, offer what you're happy to pay for them and don't worry too much about the resell value, cause as long as you're happy, then that's what counts.

I am going to get a price by the end of the week I appreciate all of your suggestions keep them coming if you have more.

These seems to be unused protytpes/backups for a season that was not made.
That being said that makes them different than a screen used costume from the movies, or live action show.
a good costume has value though but I think more the replica people and those that just like cool costumes are going to be the main people interested in it.
