Took a break from Krang to start on this. Vacuuformed the dome using my bike helmet as a base, the drew freehand templates for the rest. I wasn't happy with the side blades and where they all join, so I redid those after taking pics.

Made good progress today. Finished painting the torso and helmet. Added in 1 way chrome lenses to the helmet and screen mesh behind the mouth. Also made the bracelets that I've been putting off. All major work is done, I just need to fully enclose Krang, but that's dependent on installing LED strip lights.

LEDs should come in the mail tomorrow though. Once in, expect a ton of pictures! Except for installing LEDs in the chamber and a zippered fly in my morphsuit, I'm done with Krang and the Android body!!

I would probably do the visir in the goggles thinner, but other than that, this is looking so frickin' awesome! I've never seen a Krang costume before, and this one kicks ass!

Yeah, that's the trade off of being able to see and have some peripheral vision.

Here are some final pics of the helmet/torso. I wanted to take full costume pics, the the battery for the DSLR is dead.

I don't mind the size of the eye holes now that they're chromed out. Overall I'm happy with the whole thing.

This morning I installed the LED strip lights. The lights being 12v forced me to go to Radio Shack - ugh, now it's just a place for people to try to trade their hoopty phones for iPhones.

Once the lights were in I installed the acetate shield for the chamber. I ended up cracking it three times, but eventually got it right. It's secured on there with automotive push pins.
