TimeSlip Creations' Palomino kit

Photo-etch work is done. I'll post a teaser shortly. I'm doing a paper mock-up at the moment.

The Palomino's a very interesting design.

It's retro in a way. I look at the crew/command module and it reminds of the Apollo command module/capsules.

I dunno. It just looks right. There's some logic to the design I guess. You'd want the main engines stacked towards the "bottom" of the ship in case of a dock landing. ("Bottom" is subjective. There's no top or bottom in space really...)

If I remember correctly, it even had course correction rocket nozzle designs kind of like the ones on the old Apollo service modules.

Neat retro references on that ship!

Here you go. Huge progress is being made. The final parts should be done by the weekend. Enjoy.

It's from The Black Hole, so I'm sold.

I just hope my wallet is o.k with that.

Awesome work :)

Looks incredible so far. Went back and reviewed all the parts with the Palomino in it because I'm completely crazy and to look at some of the details that I completely warmed over. Hopefully this will be on ship that will wind up in OUR Junkyard, so to speak. Looking forward to more pics.

Oh man. I hope I have some money in my account when it goes on sale as I really want one of these. But I have to eat too. In any event, what I see thus far looks like a work of art.

BTW, will this model also have a 1/2 sized trapezoid shaped door from an Airfix/Fundimensions Eagle Transporter kit sitting in an obvious spot? ;)
