Hi I am making Iron Man armor mark 4 from JFcustom;s foam files.
I have problem with helmet.
I am using this tutorial to make this helmet

. but I have problem with shape.
Can You tell me how to connect this part in yellow to have this good shape? Now I put some glue to have this shape.

some update
Helmet is to small. when I put my head inside the helmet is changing and it is wider than it should be.
on girl's head is also to small.

and face plate is to short... not in contact with the jaw..maybe I need to cut about 3 mm from jaw to make it shorter?

Also where I need to cut line to open faceplate ? bcs I want to have one shape of this helmet

Nice build so far! but okay, so since i see that youve been at this for a while, imma try to help you out haha. but to your first post, if you want to open the faceplate, you should try your best to make the faceplate hold its own shape first. This means cutting angles in the foam to make it sturdy, putting in supports inside to hold it together, and trying your best to make it symmetrical.

and with the "underbite" ive had this problem too. one of two things is probably causing this warp. either the faceplate is being pushed apart at the "cheekbones" and they need to be pushed together a little bit. The other possibility is that on the helmet base, beside the cheekbone part, is not creased well enough. if you look at a pepakura file, usually there is a crease that folds inward then outward again to retain shape. this usually folds the jaw inward and up a little bit.

and with the cut line to open the faceplate, its was already separated in the file itself. just follow the lines you already cut and separate the part. usually its into three parts (face, jaw, head) to retain accuracy to the movie, or you can only remove the faceplate for simplicity.

yes but the part where faceplate is togehter with head on second photo from top left is a problem to cut the line. I have idea to put glue in side to have a one shape of the helmet and then cut the faceplate from helmet. but I do not sure where to put the top cutting line

I made mistake bcs I did not sand helmets few times before application of platidip. But how you can see I have the last one and I will sand it very good before paint job.
