Like I said, I have superb reference of film used hoses if someone here can host the photo(s).
It would be great if all of us working together could nail this down.

Gino, go ahead and send them to me at allartistries@aol.com. I've just got a photobucket acct. but it's better than nothing. :) also, if possible, could you resize them to smaller than 1 meg. ea.?

Thanks.

I just sent a photo collage to clutch to post.
It's a large photo and I wanted to have it posted at full size.

At one point, I thought I had found a match but it never materialized. It was hose to some kind of gas mask or flight helmet. Been a long time.

For help in narrowing down the search, the hose definitely has a coil center. It looks to have either a vinyl or rubber coating.

I think its actually PVC. I know it looks like thin rubber and is flexible but from the stacks of hose samples I received over the last few years I can tell you that 'lightweight PVC' matches this very closely.

Clutch, your hose looks like rubber that is too thick (that didn't sound right.).

I have my own image host so if you want to email any pics to me, I can post them here at any resolution...I could also enhance/enlarge the areas of interest to see how there were possibly made....I'm curious too about this as my TIE helmets have no hoses :(

EDIT: ok I see clutch's photos....couldn't see them before ....strange....

Thanks for the recent public sharing of cool pics Gino :thumbsup

Sure looks like something has been heat shrunk over a wire coil to give that webbing effect. So we can forget about looking at anything rubber or any flight helmet hoses.

I'm currently going around and around with my ISP. My site is up and down at various times during the day. They say nothing is wrong and I say BS. I'm working on getting it resolved.

Am I missing something - have the images of the full helmets been shown as I'm only seeing the hoses?

Cheers

If at all possible, I'd like to find something I can buy by the spool, and just cut off lengths of to toss in the kits when their ready.

Cross your fingers- If I can spare the gas money, I'm going to run around Indy sometime this week and hit all the big hardware chains and see what's available. :)

Do we have a consensus on the outer diameter yet?
