Throwing Weapon Props

As a niche within the prop universe, I find myself collecting as many real metal replicas of these props as I can. These include:

1) Arkham Asylum batarang by Russreplicas
2) Sonic Batarang by Henry Wayne
3) Blade "Bloodbath" Glaive

I was very impressed with the AvP Shuriken till I realized it wasn't made of metal and was very delicately put together.

Another great prop is Thor's Mjolnir and I can't wait to own a faithful recreation from the film!

I'm still a newbie but I'd love to know of any throwing weapons that are the pride of other collections as well.

I have a few throwing knives and tomahawks that were used on TV. I also made the strongest and largest Dark Knight batarang a few years ago so I could throw it.

Real Steel is the real deal! No resin in my collection! :lol

The first one I remember wanting was Mark's razor boomerang from Battle of the Planets/Gatchaman. Then probably the glaive from Krull.

Something I've always wanted but would be dangerous as h#ll to throw around would be the Feral Kid's metal boomerang from Road Warrior!

If memory serves, I saw the original glaive prop from the motion picture sold on Ebay a few years ago. Went for several thousand dollars too. But yes, a well made replica would be very nice to have...but given the complexity of its design and the fading of Krull from the newer generations memory, I'm not holding my breadth.

The Captain America shield is on my "to buy" list but I'm waiting for the upcoming movie replica first. Given the recent flood of shields on Ebay, I expect the Factory X version's pricing won't hold once the movie replica comes out.

Do grenades count?
Hundreds of options there, from WW2 ones to M40s from Aliens (which *could* also be thrown), 5th Element spike grenade thingy....

Would you also consider the sort of plasma ball things that magicians and wizards sometimes use in [insert wizardy film title], or must it only be metal?

Spears are good throwing weapons... Troy, Spartacus, Jason & The Argonauts....

I guess I should have prefaced it by excluding anything that's not fictional. To use your example, a standard issue frag grenade is pretty easy to find. A spiky grenade thingy from the 5th element isn't.

Also added to the list are the Tijo blades from Van Helsing.

On a side note, there are SO many baterangs available out there. I recently got a good look at the Icons baterang and the throwing bird. Pretty cool props!

Now if only someone made the collapsable batarangs from Batman: Dead End...I'd be in heaven :)
