Hello All:

wanted to get some expert views...

-Though AA/DST screen accuracy for Star Trek Role Play Toys is pretty good...why do they face so many schedule delays for the release of their products and why so few products ?

if I ran a business where I couldn't make schedule, I would be outta business....

but Playmates-- Star Trek Movie Toys---came right on schedule.

thoughts ?

thanks

Personally I'd rather wait longer for a better product.

The Playmates movie toys were obviously preplanned to synchronize with the big media blitz promoting the movie.. so they HAD to be on time to meet the fixed deadline. (However the premiere of the movie was pushed back from late 2008 to mid 2009, ostensibly because of its "summer blockbuster" potential. Could the delay really have been to make more time for product to be ready? Who can say).

In my humble opinion most of the Playmates Trek09 toys (and there are quite a bunch of them) are crap quality.

I will admit that I do have the Trek09 Tricorder toy and it's a lot of fun. Fairly accurate too! The real prop says "tricorder" on it as well. :lol

I believe Playmates is a much larger corporation than ArtAsylum/DiamondComics, but somebody would have to check that.

You should look at the middle sized action figures for the male characters of Star Trek by Playmates. Cut off their uniform and you'll find they're hideously ripped and packed! I had no idea Spock was a heavy weight lifter.
